Dr. Avital Soep is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York. Avital received her doctorate in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology.

Prior to attending Ferkauf, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in psychology from Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women. Throughout her graduate training, Avital has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and private practice.

Dr. Soep is trained and experienced in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to target a wide range of presenting problems, including depression, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder.

Avital is passionate about the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based interventions, making the highest quality of mental health care accessible for all. A primary goal of Dr. Soep is to help remove the stigma surrounding mental health care by introducing emotion-focused learning and skills-based work to children from a young age in an engaging and effective manner.

Avital strongly believes in the benefits of self-care, and when she is not practicing clinical psychology, she enjoys listening to country music, playing guitar, and spending time with her family.
